About the translator
Noreen Brenner is half German, bilingual in German and English and lived in Germany for 12 years. She studied English philology, botany, zoology and philosophy at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She is certified by the American Translators Association for German to English translation and has 30 years of experience as a translator. Her education includes 36 undergraduate credits in English philology, literature and linguistics, a BS in biology, an MA in molecular, cell and developmental biology, a Professional Science Master's degree in bioinformatics and many undergraduate credits in botany, zoology and philosophy. Noreen also completed 55 credits out of 60 in a neuroscience PhD program (GPA above 3.0, completed First Exam). She specializes in the translation of literary, biology, molecular, cell and developmental biology, neuroscience, bioinformatics, computer science and science fiction texts. Her most recent large translation project was the translation of an over 300 page science fiction novel. She has translated tourism industry, science, neuroscience, molecular biology, legal, medical, advertising, literary, non-fiction, historical and other texts, including books.
